The erasing of John Wayne from the history books has started. I loaded up on DVD's of his movies before they become no longer available. My local Wal-Mart doesn't carry them anymore, so I went online. When garage sales start back up The Duke's videos will be a priority purchase for my household.
Nope....
Sammy was not only black, but he was Jewish! Jews are the new RAT targets especially Conservative Jews.
LOL! Of course you are correct, that was EXACTLY what my mind did, it transposed those names.
I stand firmly and gratefully corrected!
For some reason, that had quite a different connotation when I saw your post at the top of the page with only the #ClimbMeToo visible!
Yes, as much as I try, my mind does stray to the gutter sometimes!
I believe to the very core of my being, that Hollywood and politicians want to eliminate the tough, rugged, manly man from our society in order to make it more palatable to vote for someone like Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke or Julián Castro, both extremely feminine men in my opinion.
The simple fact of the matter is since Barack Hussein Obama an extremely feminine man, the left has been trying really hard to convince us that feminine men are cool.
It took President Trump to kick in the door and expose this notion. A notion that has all the leftists offended by President Trumps brashness A trait that most of us that grew up on John Wayne appreciate because he is fighting for the right reason.
ORourke and Castro may be hip, slick, and cool, but you would never want them to have your six if you ever got in to a fight, you and they would most definitely get you a$$ kicked if the odds were against you.
But with someone like John Wayne, young men watched his movies and took away four things: There is right and wrong and you should always fight for what is right, and if you have to ask what is, you are probably part of the problem. Men should look and act like men (no pierced ears, man buns, or skinny jeans). Never throw the first punch, but you had better be throwing the last punch. America is an amazing place, unique and beautiful and unrivaled anywhere else in the world and if you dont think so, then move to wherever you think it is better.
I grew up watching John Wayne (J. B. Books) and still swear by his statement from the Shootist while talking to very young Ron Howard (Gillom Rogers): I won’t be wronged, I won’t be insulted, and I won’t be laid a hand on. I don’t do these things to other people, and I require the same from them. Words I still live by today.
America is losing our young men to hip, slick, and cool, I pray to God that we never have to conduct a D-Day invasion with the crop of girlymen entering their 20s, it will be hard replacing the current generation of military volunteers, they literally are our last hope.
Man, if I didn't just change my tagline today, that would be my new tagline:
"JOHN WAYNE: Toxic Masculinity in a Ten Gallon Hat..and damn proud of it!"
"...no pierced ears, man buns, or skinny jeans..."
Amazingly the Kali commies havent changed the name of Mt. Whitney.
Mt McKinley is what needs to changed back to its rightful name.
One of my favorite (top four) westerns is “The Searchers”.
The other three in that group are the old “True Grit”, “Unforgiven”, and “Open Range”!
I vacillate on a day to day basis on which one I like best...:)
"...Jooooooo..."
>_<
Thank you.
Plenty of John Wayne VHS movies and DVDs on eBay.
To the Left, “coolness” is swinging at someone with no expectation they will swing back.
Trump swings back each time, every time. From all I have read, he reminds me of Joseph McCarthy, who was never one to take an insult lying down.
I am going to start a thread the explains the similarity between those two men, their public scourging at the hands of both the Democrats AND Republicans, and how they have both (Trump and McCarthy) fought America’s domestic enemies (who spout lies, ad hominem attacks, and unjustified and obstructive investigations into both of them) with no quarter.
McCarthy is a bit of a hobby for me, and the similarities are striking.
Read John Wayne’s Playboy interview, from decades ago, if you haven’t already. It is pretty amazing and shows him to possess a way more subtle mind than anyone’s given him credit for, and there is one section, delivered matter-of-factly that was so beautifully expressed it almost brought tears to my eyes. Great actor and great man.
I think you are right on point. Beta males being pushed. Sigh it really is a depressing turn of events.
“I am going to start a thread the explains the similarity between those two men...”
When I think of President Trump I cannot help but think of him more as Thomas “Tom” Horn, Jr.
We the 63 million people hired President Trump to the job that no one else wanted or capable of, and when he was “too” effective the elites began lining up to take him down...My two cents.
All of those are my favorites also. FWIW I didn’t really appreciate the depth of The Searchers until I was in my 30’s and realized the torment of events like that and how they can weigh on a man.
Read that when the story hit the news last week. I agree great interview and The Duke was great.
Only two men have made me feel small in stature. John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. Met The Duke at a hollyweird event years ago and met Clint at Pebble Beach in the 80’s.
I had to look him up, I admit to not knowing anything about him.
But I see your point indeed...
And what the hell was that about a “Julian Gallows”???? That was strange. Was it so that a man didn’t have to directly execute someone by pulling a lever that opened the trap directly? That was a new one for me as well.
