Wow, 81. That jars you into considering just how long ago that show was. RIP.
I never understood her Marilyn character. Glad they dropped it.
RIP.
The 60s they are a dyin
I can think of a few other characters from the “sixties” who I’d rather see dead........
they can go underground (even in bad wather) to Little Rock.........
Cheesecake of the day!
I never knew Beverly Owen played Marilyn. I thought Pat priest was the only Marilyn. Most people will remember Pat Priest as Marilyn. Pat was in 57 episodes as compared to only 13 for Beverly.
Yvonne DeCarlo, mother munster was the babe!
Prayers to her family. The running joke was that she was not beautiful. Great show.
I believe she was the Marilyn in the pilot episode of The Munsters, and it was in color. You can probably find it on Youtube or if you have ROKU you can get a app called Pilot TV which has the TV pilots from shows that made it to network and a lot that did not.
For instance they have the pilot of McHales Navy and it was a one hour drama not a comedy.
I watched The Addams family occasionally but never the Munsters.
Beverley Owen played Marilyn for the first 13 episodes, then left the show to get married. Pat Priest took over the part for the remainder of the series. Because the two looked so much alike, many people did not realize there were two Marilyns. I read somewhere once that one of the reasons Pat Priest got the part was because she could fit into all of Beverley clothes, so they could use the existing wardrobe.
She also bought into
That She was the Oddball.
Butch Patrick (Eddie) and Pat Priest are still alive.
I recall that episode!
It really freaked me out!
When you think about it, it’s pretty much what the Liberals and Progressives are trying to do with society, today.
Make beauty ‘ugly’ and attempt to make ‘ugly’ beautiful. May they always fail!
Not Guilty!
RIP.
LOL! And Spot.
