You are not alone !!
If they had just stopped there, both would have had a lasting legacy. But no.... Movie studios need to make a dozen sequels (IronMan 2&3, Captain America 2&3, 4 Avengers movies, plus they show up in other Marvel movies....) and completely milk the franchise dry until people are sick to death of seeing their faces on-screen.
I WILL Bookmark this thread for all the reviews by Freepers, tho!!
Looks like I saw 3; Black Panther, Incredible’s 2, Bohemian Rhapsody.
They’re all “well done”. I enjoyed them. That said, Bohemian Rhapsody was quite sad, incredible talent (Freddie Mercury) that represented the whole 70’s/80’s “drugs, sex, and rock & roll” where the gay sex resulted in AIDS and his death.
I wouldn’t say it was a promotion, or normalization, of the gay lifestyle...might depend on your perspective. That said, as a movie, it was very good (yes, there were a couple of “man kisses”, although I expected that as we’re all aware of his lifestyle...but there was nothing more than that).
I saw the Spiderman movie and also A Star is Born. They were both very good.
I liked A Star is Born, especially. The acting was good, the songs were actaully excellent (which is so unusual with fictional art as I call it) and the movie really had something for everyone and did not hit you over the head with any of it. There was a scene in a drag bar, that was played with good, humorous spirit and without any, yay we’re heros of gayness, of whatever it might have included. There’s a brief scene with Lady Gaga and her backups saying a prayer before going on stage, inclusive I thought, and only some crazed atheist type would be offended by it.
It’s a very sad story and definitely an adult feature, but you might like it, it’s really a good, old fashioned, kind of a movie. Lady Gaga is quite believable as an ordinary gal.
Movies have been such absolute tripe since 2010, just for fun lets see if I can remember the last 10 movies I loved that Hollywood put out and the year they came out. This is going to be a challenge to remember.

For some reason, 2016 was a good year for me.
Instead of watching the Oscars I spent last evening at, you guessed it, the movies watching "Stan & Ollie". Steve Coogan as Laurel and John C. Reilly as Hardy both nailed their roles. They had the voices down pat as well as the mannerisms. Highly recommend it.
Yeah, but she is playing for the other team now.
Opps, missed one from 2010.
2010 - Inception
I download movies from “link sites” for free.
Yet I watched none of them- even for free!
(But I think a silly Marvel film I might have watched won something.)
I watched a winner from last year Dunkirk, really a big disappointment of a movie, that is the only one the last two years. I had to follow the links below to find out, i don’t pay any attention to oscar “worthy” movies.
Haven’t seen a single one of your listed movies.
Saw Eastwood’s The Mule and didn’t like it much. It could have been a VERY good movie since it had a good plot and good acting. But they had to ruin it with the prostitute scenes.
We wouldnt be bothered by Hollyweird if it werent for Stan Lee. With no Marvel Comic Book characters the industry would be totally bankrupt by now.
The last movie I watched was “The Darkest Hour.” Despite some annoying anachronisms, I liked it. It had no sex scenes, no nude scenes and no profanity—and it even featured a cat!
Ummm, what is an Oscar?
Movies no longer just tell a story. They must pass on PC values as well. This skews the telling of the tale just as horribly as those Chinese state sanctioned Evil Landlord plays were skewed.
Oh no...I didn’t know that.
cars too ...
