Me too. Poor man French fries. LOL
We used to call it, “Toast with ketchup on our plates.” LOL
My Mom was a widow with 4 kids under 8, we could not afford chips.
We used to have a running account at the corner store, would go over and get a slab of bologna, lots of fried bologna dinners, with ketchup of course.
Tough times but good times.
A good Mom, did her best.
