Alva Johnson is an accomplished, creative professional. Her experiences span the food and wine industry, human resources, event production, and politics. She has successfully coordinated numerous large-scale events and conferences, both in the United States and abroad; advised both established corporations and emerging start-ups on crucial human resources issues; and spearheaded outreach strategies for winning political campaigns. Alva's precision, attention to detail, and love of bringing people together have helped many businesses and organizations achieve their goals.

Alva Johnson is a native Alabamian, born and raised in Birmingham. Her unique background combines experience in human resources, large-scale event production, and politics.
Alva recently served as a senior strategist for the presidential campaign of a national political candidate.
As the Director of Outreach and Coalitions for the Alabama primary, Alva utilized her private sector background to coordinate one of the largest primary election rallies, attracting over 33,000 attendees.
Her creativity and leadership earned her a reputation for success, and she was quickly promoted to the National Strike Team to travel to six critical states for outreach and support. During the general election, Alva served as Director of Operations for the Florida campaign, where she successfully managed the statewide RV/Mobile Office campaign. Her RVs visited 57 of 61 counties and came into contact with hundreds of thousands of voters.
Over the course of the campaign, Alva strategically created opportunities for visibility, built alliances iwth diverse groups and supporters, and coordinated GOTV efforts that helped the campaign win in Florida.
Alva has also worked on campaigns for the U.S. Senate and a county commissioner. Her areas of expertise include voter engagement, grassroots coordination, coalition and alliance building, communications, events, messaging and strategy, campaign technology (digital and data), database and file management, and polling research.
Before entering politics, Alva built an impressive career in human resources. She was responsible for human resources for the Atlanta Braves, Celebrity Personal Assistants, Inc., CARE International, Cox Interactive Media, and Randstad Staffing Services. She has also served technical start-ups putting down roots in Alabama. Her strengths include talent acquisition, training and development, human resources information systems, employee relations, human resources management, policy development, and compliance.
Alva also has significant experience coordinating large-scale events. As co-owner of Heaven on Earth, LLC, Alva planned events in Brazil, Atlanta, Frankfurt, New York City, Los Angeles, and New Orleans. She also planned and executed the Independent Champagne and Sparkling Wine Invitational in 2010 and served as the President of Enchanting Travel and Tours. She is skilled at coordinating logistics, talent relations, venue scouting and selection, merchandising and branding, build-outs, vendor relations, contract negotiation, catering services, audio/visual, securing hotel blocks, and event design and implementation.
Alva attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she was a decorated volleyball athlete. She graduated from Ramsay High School as a three-time All-State, two-time City MVP volleyball player. She lives in Alabama with her family.
