What was Green Book about that it would be trashed by the left?
I recall something about how the film made it seem like these racial problems were in the past and fixed and not going on today.
As I understand it, relatives of the Black guy who was the real life subject of the Movie said that the story was not the reality. In other words, every Whitey was a bad guy I guess.
I’m sure other FReepers have more information on the controvesry. I haven’t seen the Picture.
From what I recall, the movie itself was not being trashed; they were going after the writer of the original screenplay over a tweet about 9/11.
Probably because the black guy didn't kill any whities in the movie.
Green Book was also criticized for stereotypes and too sentimental. I love sentimental movies.
