Billy Porter isn't playing around on the Oscars red carpet tonight. The Pose star arrived ready to snatch wigs in an actual tuxedo gown by Christian Siriano, which looked worthy of its own Academy Award. The velvety look featured silk lapels, white ruffled sleeves, a black bowtie, and a voluminous ball skirt. To say Porter slayed in the ensemble in an understatement.

Years ago, we could see our favorites come in on the red carpet - we knew them, liked their films, wanted to see what they were wearing and they weren’t bloviating pigs.
In later years after we got tired of all the pontificating and seeing duplicates of unknowns, the only reason to watch was to see the gowns. The only thing that changed were the names. They were like spare parts showing up just in case they were needed. NOW not even the gowns could get me to turn it on.
I have never watched one of these shows and my wife and daughter have never missed one.

rami malek in Bohemian Rhapsody was really good. I grew up with Queen.
Saw The Favourite. Thought Olivia Colman was good but Glenn Close will win.
I used to watch the pre-oscar show when all the celebs were just arriving to see the dresses but not anymore. I’ll look at the pics tomorrow online.
