That was always a nonstarter. We, even to this day, do not have a process or mechanism for removing a President short of impeachment or a qualification test for Presidential candidates.
The U. S. Marshals office reports through the executive branch. I am so tired of this. Only posterity will be able to judge this, yet even then the truth may be kept hidden until after we are all long gone and it has no significance at all.
Actually, yes we do. It's called the Twentieth Amendment, Section Three. Congress did not enforce it.
If we ever get all the offenders in this mess rounded up, convicted, & sentenced....there might not be enough ammo left in the country to get all of them in front of a firing squad.
