He lost his job.
It would be right to say that what he did won't be held against him as much as it would be if his actions had been perceived as "right-wing" - he won't be a total pariah - but no way he comes out looking better from this for most people, even most Trump-hating liberals.
This incident will only increase his bonafides with the Left.
I may be wrong. This may make him a pariah but I doubt it. He may do some jail time but I doubt very much, if any.
The Left is already making excuses for him and taking him under their wing. "Poor boy was off his meds, or was on drugs or was delirious with hate for Trump", whatever.
We'll see. I'm becoming more of a cynic the older I get.
