OT
“Play Misty for Me” was a cue on radio call-ins that the gal calling wanted to “hook up” with the host.
And its predecessor, Hill Street Blues.
The Dobie Gillis Show...The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis
I watched a few Carol Burnett Shows on youtube after she mentioned it. Awesome stuff
Walter White was the anti-hero of the show. He may have been the bad guy but he was living out the fantasy that the viewer was promised. Meek, humble, unassuming beta type guy becomes ruthless drug kingpin. That is the fantasy that the viewer wanted to see played out , and the wife was an obstructionist to that fantasy. She got in the way. And that is frustrating for the viewer. And this is why she is hated, And in the context of the series, justifyably so. I dont see how the writers could not have seen this.
That’s right! That was a good show too.
The Prisoner
Fawlty Towers
Yes, Bilko was a masterpiece. It is fascinating to watch Phil Silvers as he delivers his con artist spiels. Here’s one of his best!

The only time I have laughed harder was the Less Nelson turkey drop on WKRP. Thanks for the memories, I’ma getting a little long in the tooth.
After seeing the movie and if I was a DJ, I’d never accept the offer, LOL!
The Simpsons still being on the air baffles me. I literally remember saying to myself that the show had jumped the shark after watching the Tomacco episode which had to has been about 20 years ago. I predicted it is imminent demise at that time.
Contrary to popular belief, Dr. Johnny Fever was right about the phone cops.
Heh heh, Jussie found that out the hard way.
Any list without The Andy Griffith Show at the top or near is bogus.
I just rewatched this show. Something struck me as kind of odd. Nobody, in a recurring role is married.
Andy, Barney - not married, and didn’t get married
Aunt Bea and her best friend Clara - not married
Goober and Gomer -never married
Floyd the barber and his nephew Warren who took over for Barney - not married
Howard Sprague and his controlling mother - both, not married
Even the Darlings were just the dad and his 3 idiot sons, and cute daughter. She did marry, but then got Andy and Barney involved in some voodoo divorce scheme.
The only married people I saw were Otis, the town drunk. And Andy’s obnoxious relatives who came for a visit.
I don’t remember Opie’s mother even being mentioned, nor parents of either Andy or his dead wife.
Howard Spragues mother did get married, but after that, she wasn’t on the show anymore.
There may possibly be one exception, and that is Emmett the fix it guy. I think they showed his wife as Aunt Bea’s friend. But, that is the only one I can think of.
In retrospect, I find this kind of odd.
Hogan’s Heroes
First few seasons of MASH
just off the top of my head
I love watching old episodes of Andy Griffith.
And, on the justice network... Parking Wars, Intervention, Cold Case Files, Body of Evidence, and New Detectives.
Twilight Zone, definitely. Seinfeld, probably. Star Trek, maybe. And some HBO shows could definitely bear rewatching. But don’t you want to watch stuff you haven’t seen before? Being stuck inside The Office sounds a lot like being in hell.
Mythbusters
Yeah, loved Barney on Andy Griffith.
I vote for the old Law and Order. I can watch the episodes over and over. Love the spin-offs, too.
