How much of a factor is the farts of cows?

There’s a lot of animal life other than cows. Maybe the totality of human farting is greater than that of cows. What about insect farting, ocean creature farting?

Decaying garbage, which is a small percentage of the totality of of decaying plant and animal matter, emits methane, an important greenhouse gas.

I believe the scientist say it's cow belches, not farts that are the problem.As a member of a farming family I couldn't tell you which end causes the trouble(neither is very pleasant)

However if getting rid of troubling flatulence is the problem I nominate nuking New York City. Seems there is an excess flow from that city and the Coasts as well.
