Another national puzzle from the Arkansas Gazette. Not an easy one. Solving the 2nd and 5th words gets you started.

About four minutes. Certain suffixes being repeated helped. I never was a big fan of hers, though.

Focused on the two three-letter words after the last comma, which gave me enough to guess the author, and then it was just a matter of filling in the last few blanks.
