Not so sure she wasn't getting "wire transfers" even then, as Minion was buying all the support he could in Iowa long before 2011. My mother was still busy with her county GOP duties in those days, and while she had been impressed by Minion (and Ann Romney) early on, she eventually realized what a phony he was.
