Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) may have had her current chief of staff pay her boyfriend using campaign PAC money, according to a report from Luke Thompson, a National Review contributor.

Thompson started down the trail of analyzing Ocasio-Cortez’s professional relationship with her boyfriend, Riley Roberts, after realizing that the congresswoman had Roberts listed as a staff member with his own house.gov email account. No, I don't believe that email system is classified, so no clearance necessary. Typically classified email addresses are in the xxx.smil domain.

However it is apparently in violation of guidelines and/or regulations for the use of mail system to have email accounts created for spouses/family/friends.

I would bet you a decent lunch that this being the government, somewhere there is a form that has to be filled out requesting the account be created. That form would go to the IT department to create the account. It would be interesting to know if there is a specific question on that form relating to the person having need for the account and it being within guidelines/criteria for access. Because clearly someone is lying. Either the boyfriend is paid staff, and then marginally has need for the account, or he is not. If he is not, then someone lied - on a federal application/form. That's got to be worth a few lumps...
