Wonder if she graduated?
It is not at all uncommon for girls outside of the few big cities and towns, to marry and often get pregnant when they are 16 and in high school. This is true of Louisiana, east Texas, Oklahoma and I suppose Arkansas. The husband is generally a blue collar guy in his early 20’s. Though some really motivated couples go through college this way with a combination of earnings, family assistance and student loans.A young married woman twenty five or twenty six with three small children is pretty common. People marry and live near parents and raise families that way. If the young people are centered and have decent morals this system works reasonably well.
