“Empire” actor Jussie Smollett's alleged hate crime attack unraveled after police reportedly determined he "took advantage of the pain and anger of racism to promote his career" by allegedly paying two brothers to stage the attack against him. He is now facing felony charges for allegedly orchestrating the "phony" hate crime attack.
Here are other recent alleged hate crimes -- many of which initially were reported to have been carried out by pro-Trump aggressors -- that turned out to be completely fake.
Former Drake University student Kissie Ram, 19, pleaded guilty in January 2019 for lying about a racist note she originally claimed had been shoved under her dorm room door in Des Moines.
The Des Moines Register reported in November that some students at Drake University reported notes slipped under their doors said: “We’ve decided that we no longer want [you] on our campus. Which means you need to leave or else.”
The note was slipped after the school was targeted with racist robo-calls demanding African-American students be expelled to Africa.

Could you imagine this happening under Obama’s reign? His DOJ would have rode into town day one, taken over the evidence, and forced a racism memo on the public for months. Then again, no one was wearing MAGA hats back then. :)
Smollett also merits acknowledgement as the first known episode where a union thug staged a FAKE beating.

All week long I have been thinking about how the media re-framed the Matthew Shepard murder. In that case there was a dope dealer (and/or drug user) who got jungle justice for ripping off some dudes.
So MS being a homosexual was not part of the reason for his murder. I think the guys who killed him are serving life sentences after they plead to some cock-up story to save their asses from ...?death penalty?
The media is not interested in drilling down on this case (pun not intended).

The smart one was dominant, but would let the sneak creep up and steal his food all the time (indulgent noblesse oblige) - unless it was a real bone with marrow and blood.
Then he had the bigger dog on his back, with the smaller dog’s teeth around the stupid one’s throat, replete with very menacing growling.
The stupe never learned. It was highly entertaining to watch.

I can finally buy a German Shepherd puppy, and I’m really excited.
We have two Chihuahuas, and 3 mutts. They are a handful.
One of my daughters dropped her chihuahua with us a couple of years ago. It’s not bad for a chihuahua, but she barks at the TV. As long as she barks at intruders, she’s earning her keep.
