That’s right, you have to pay the bondsman 10% and then they will post the bond and spring you out. The 10% is the fee and is not refundable. If they don’t like that then they can just sit in jail and wait for trial.

In this case a 100k bond will cost you a 10k nonrefundable fee. If the judge set the bail at 1 million then he would have to pay 100k fee. Bail bonds is a very lucrative business.

Yeah, very high interest rate, but you've got to be able to collect from the absconders. Which is why there are bounty hunters.
