Yep. Rush was approached many, many times by leaders in the immigration control movement trying to get him to address the issue and he brushed them off.

This goes all the way back to the fight over California’s Prop 187 in 1994.

Rush remained a GOP-Bush open borders loyalist until the grassroots rebellion over Dubya’s attempted amnesty. But he was still lukewarm and mostly silent on the subject.

Yesterday was the first time that I’ve heard him clearly express what those of us in California have known for a very long time- mass legal immigration from the 3rd world is permanently altering the demographics and the culture of the United States.

It’s legal immigration that has been the driving force and this rarely gets acknowledged. Illegal immigration is just the icing on top.

Or more likely Rush finally realized that the belief Hispanic immigrants would end up voting Republican was B.S.
