I am so happy for you. I would sit and think of my friend Sherri especially during loud storms. I would tell her and she would say...I don't hear it so I never worry. Our job was to always make sure we got her during a fire drill.

We were once written up because a woman was left in the building working inventory not hearing the siren. I had told people she shouldn't work in that area because she couldn't hear the fork lifts. People worked with Martha for over 10 years and when I told them she was almost deaf they tried to blow me off. They said she was rude at times working through the prayer at Thanksgiving. I got furious!!! How hard is it to pick up on people not hearing? I realized her problem the first week I started work there. And no telling how long fellow workers had been spreading the rumor that Martha is rude? Sweet..sweet lady.
