If certain people get their way, just about all movies and TV shows made years ago will be banned.

Disney prides itself on banning its own old movie “Song of the South”, because of racial stereotypes depicted.

The old Charlie Chan movies have virtually disappeared from TV.

I’m sure others can think of other examples, of movies and TV shows which couldn’t be made today. Often people cite the movie “Blazing Saddles” as one which offends the sensibilities of the leftists.

Our local revived “Orpheum Theatre”, with a great stage, beautiful gilded Victorian architecture, and a big movie screen shows classic movies in the summer.

They showed things like “Wizard of Oz” or old Hitchcock movies, and even some newer ones. Last year, after over a decade (or maybe two!) of showing it every year, they banned “Gone With the Wind”.

I emailed and told them no more expensive Orpheum tickets for me. My wife used to love it when I took her to see touring Broadway shows and concerts. Oh well.
