But there won’t be any unless its forced. In Duke’s case the institution could easily absorb the blow and promptly seep it under the rug and it did! That’s what I was pointing out. For a well-heeled college\university to do something, the plaintiff must be equally well-heeled, adept at PR, & determined. The Duke’s kids did have the resources nor the desire. The Duke trustees didn’t care or were scared of the “race card” that Jesse & others had played.
Regarding the “88”, I don’t remember any of the “88” being tenured (Maybe a few were!) The untenured should have been demised it and the tenured denied a promotion. But who is going to do that? College/university Presidents have a hard time just enforcing normal academic standards in the tenure process let alone something like this.
