I think a flash drive would hold more bytes than an SD card. But if they can put films and TV series on flash drives or even on SD cards, I would start a collection immediately.

I've been thinking about getting the capability to digitally record streams (including, for that matter, broadcast TV; digital "vcrs" for that are about $50). Right now my archiving consists of using a website where I can just enter the URL (works on YT, Vimeo I think, FB, others) and the video gets saved for download for a few hours. That's handy for clipping songs as well.
