There’s a massive difference between high def and standard def on a calibrated display. Depth, contrast, detail, it’s all there.
Sadly most people have no idea that high definition displays need to be calibrated. Most people leave their sets on the torch mode they used to select the set in the first place. The best displays are NEVER shown in toirch mode.
Torch mode is the most “vivid” setting with contrast set to maximum.
“brightness” is a black level setting, “contrast” is a white level setting.
The general public couldn’t learn it and that’s the death of high definition.
