Oh no, I’m a school teacher, so I have to stick it out till June. But then I have to decide if I’m going to stay in this school system, where I have seniority and am very close to retirement, but am exhausted and kind of miserable, or make a try for a different situation out of state that will pay less and offer less security, but also less stress and pressure.
Tough decision. I’ve met many people from California who have moved to West Georgia or Florida and love it. They sell their property in California for a small fortune then come East. The area near St. Augustine, FL, a sub division called Sawgrass is wonderful. I love LaGrange, GA which is around 54 miles from the Atlanta airport.
I’m still working, but waited until 66 to draw SS. Makes a big difference. Teacher pensions are great, as I think you can draw from them and continue working.
It’s nice to have options in life. Maybe today’s CG will give you another clue on what to do...
