There are, however, legitimate reasons to own a pit bull. Guarding a crack house, for example.
our druggie neighbors have a pit. She’s a sweet dog- i know because she runs loose.
we rescued a beautiful dog that was mean to everyone but me. NOT a pit, so you never can tell.
PS not a pitbull fan in general. I just keep away, and if your dog comes on my property, i call animal control.
