Wow! I didn’t know C-band still had raw feeds wide open and unencrypted. It almost makes me want to get a C & K band FTA set up and see what’s out there.
That’s what we have, got tired of paying too much for direct and dish and dug the old big dish out. The old analog C band LNB works just fine with the new digital feeds and we just slapped a KU band LNB next to the c band feedhorn. Every satellite has both C and KU band transponders. A FTA box to get both only runs between $50-$100. There are quite few open channels that are unencrypted, plenty enough for us since it’s free. And there are quite a few raw network feeds. :)

Yep; There are still lots of raw feeds on both C and K. I was on KU for the one I mentioned above. CNN has at least six raw feed channels on 87W and ABC has four on 91W. There are others scattered around but those ten are the most reliable, most often used that I have found.
