I have bought meals for people that I did not know before, simply because it looked like they were in need. Idiots like this will cause people like me to think twice, which means those really in need will go without.

The last time I did this was for a couple where the man was an E-5 in uniform and had just returned from Afghanistan. The waitress brought them a bill that just said "Thank you for your service", after I quietly paid. The difference between that couple and this loser is the soldier earned his meal.

Last time I did, it was for a really elderly couple that looked like they were out on date night. Just cute, the two of them all dressed up, had to be in their late 80's/early 90's. I left before they did, but I hope it made their day.

I was at a Denny’s when a couple was seated in the booth behind me. I overheard the guy saying how they had saved up for this meal When I paid my tab, I requested to pay theirs, too. I hope they used the savings to go to a movie.
