I have a friend who’s daughter was diagnosed with Autism. True autism has a genetic component, the child’s did not.

Doctors at first were reluctant to label her Autistic because she did not have the DNA markers even though she had characteristics. Her disabilities appeared around the age of 2 after vaccines.

Keller was thought to have had scarlet fever, Rubella, encephalitis or menigitis...the history is unclear but most accounts say it was scarlet fever(caused by group a beta streptococci)! Any of us could get sick with that!

I got horribly sick as a child when I had the MMR vaccine and when it came to my own kids we’ve spread those vaccines out over a period of years and they’ve done fine.

Also, a growing number of doctors provide vaccines that don’t contain mercury, aluminum, peanut oil, latex, or etc.

They cost more but they’re worth it if you can avoid putting toxic amounts of these elements/compounds into your kids.

Fair enough...so you should be fine with my choice. After all, your kids are vaccinated! Unless of course you doubt your vaccine.?.?

So because of your fear of what happened to Hellen Keller, all American children should be forced to get every vaccination regardless of parent’s conscience decision. Congratulations, you are a “progressive”!

Here is the issue. You, and others like you, claim to be for freedom, liberty, and “rights of conscience”. However in a heartbeat, you would enact coercive “big government” measures to force families that have legitimate concerns with the safety of their children. In other words, because of your fear of what has happened to some people, you would force all American families to go against conscience and receive every vaccination. Wouldn’t you admit you are a “progressive”?

“- and win a second Cold War.”

All the jackassocialists and these pinkos think the threat to America is from outside the borders.

I’m absolutely fine with your choice.

Vaccines should be about choice, but I grew up when the only one was for smallpox so I was glad when most of them came along, especially polio.

The Russians started that second hand smoke thing too. They wanted more of that Richmond stuff for themselves.

All I remember getting when I was a kid was the polio and smallpox vaccines. We didn’t get vaccinated against measles and chickenpox. We toughed it out and did fine. I had the measles and chickenpox but not mumps. My four siblings had mumps.

I remember as well... even before the Polio vaccine. Parents were terrified that their kids would get it. I went to school with kids who wore braces and walked with crutches... and they were the lucky ones that didn’t die. The polio vaccine was a savior for millions around the world. You don’ remember the “ others” because the likely didn’t exist when you were a kid, or you got a shot you don’t even remember. Measles, mumps, and pertussis (hooping cough) Vaccine did not come around till the 70’s. Chicken pox was much leter. But don’t brush off these “childhood” illnesses. They can be fatal or lead to life lone problems.

I graduated in 72 so I’m sure there were no childhood measles, mumps, and chickenpox vaccines. One of my grand-mother’s best friends had polio and was crippled. She wore braces to get around. I didn’t know anybody that died from measles or chickenpox but I’m sure some did. There wasn’t any instant information back then.
