However, immediate firing was is a pretty extreme action for the station to take for what seems to be a single incident. And not much of an incident at the hat.
There is more to this story we have not been told yet.
As for the complainer, we dare not indulge them. There are jurisdictions already where using the “wrong” gender pronoun is a legally actionable offense. How long before anything a protected class finds offensive is treated in a similar fashion. Ideological totalitarianism is in the offing and, as usual, it’s source is left/liberal.
