Is this something that’s important to you, or anyone?

Odd that they call these “live-action” when there is so much computer animation.
Hell’s bells, Black Panther probably should’ve been in the “best animated feature” category at the Oscars rather than “Best film”.

The makeup job looks okay to me, but I’d hate to have to follow Robin William’s version of the genie.

Re: The highly mediocre “Beauty and the Beast.”
The world wide Disney audience loved it.
It is actually the 14th highest grossing film in history at $1.26 billion.
The relentlessly hyped “Black Panther” is only $84 million higher than “Beauty and the Beast.”

I'm against live-action remakes of animation in general. My first career/paid jobs throughout HS/college/grad school were in creating cartoons and graphics for advertising. Could have stayed in and made a decent living at it, but other interests...
Animation is ridiculous and sublime. It is the great artistic contribution of the 20th century, alongside the American Broadway musical, and in Disney's case they blended the two right from the beginning. Brilliant! Stick with the animated visions.
What's next? Live action Miyazaki? Meh!

I have trouble thinking this is strictly a political site when it has checkbox topic choices like Music/Entertainment, TV/Movies, and “Cheese, Moose, Sister”. lol

The casting of Will Smith . . . offered some real star power Which will probably guarantee the success of the film.
Stars put butts in the seats.
