So what is the definition of “early death?” Does that mean one day sooner than you would die if you ate nothing but “organic” twigs and grass? And what does “...with each 10% increase in the amount of ultraprocessed foods we eat” mean? What’s the baseline? Are they really saying that someone who never eats processed food, but then has a Twinkie, is at the same risk as someone else who eats mounds of processed food everyday and then increases their intake by 10%?

Like most of these scare studies, the numbers as presented are meaningless.
