Whenever I cook a recipe in my Crock Pot that uses brown sugar, honey, cheese etc; I use the Crock Pot bags that you can line the pot with and it makes clean up so easy. You don't have to scrub a sticky pot.
I love my CrockPot programmable pot I bought at Walmart fairly cheap. I had bought a slow cooker back in the early 80's and put a roast and potatoes in at night and turned it on. I couldn't stand the smell that woke me up and the potatoes never got cooked through. I threw the pot out and never used one until I got this one a few years ago.

Yep....I could see where just dry...adding no water...would work just fine. I usually end up with quite a bit of liquid that hubby likes for me to turn in to gravy :)
I will try no water next time. I bet it turns out perfect!

I just put small roast in my smallest Crockpot and poor jar on top. Usually can it with a lot of cinnamon. If we’re doing foil packets just poor on top and double the foil so it doesn’t leak out and make a mess
