At least this season the PGA Tour will show respect to the legendary Pebble Beach golf links in June
when the condtions should be pristine.
This happens every year. Everybody in this area knows the Bay Area weather is wet, windy and rainy. Why not just change the date to April or May? Establish a new tradition!
The golfers are expected to be standing still in that climate, just laughing, joking and shooting the breeze.
I’m not a golfer. Maybe a real golfer enjoys the challenge.
I’ve lived in Monterey, and visited many times, all kinds of weather. I’ve seen it cold, rainy and blowy. I’ve never seen hail on the peninsula, though.
The weather this time of the year is a crap shoot. One year, the conditions will be perfect, the next, it is like Scotland for The Open. This year is unique, even for Pebble Beach.
