Re: “Build The Wall” dress lady

Joy Villa is an American singer and song writer.

Before tonight, I had never heard of her, but my ignorance includes about 98% of every other American musician, so that means nothing.

I watched three videos - one I liked, one was artistically interesting but not great, and one was below average and probably closer to poor. It looks like all her videos are singles, with no albums.

Her name sounds Hispanic, but in two videos she appears to be a light skinned Black, and in the video I liked the most, she looked like an Asian Indian.

Bottom Line - I am really impressed that two young people, one of them non-white, and the other probably gay, would take such a serious career risk to support Trump.

This is the state of music these days. There is a deliberate design from above in the industry to kill off the album and kill off physical media (records, CDs).

The pop acts can’t carry a whole album, never did even decades back. So now instead of dropping an album every 2-3 years they put out a single/video every few months or sooner. Of course in the 50s, 60s, and 70s you might release a new album every 6 months or sooner (strike while the iron is hot, both for creativity and in public awareness). It was true of the Beatles and Elvis and even Chubby Checker (who put out 20 albums 1960-1971).

Thank u, next! Why pop stars fell out of love with albums

“Chart-toppers used to focus on long-players. Now, in the streaming era, they can release tracks whenever they like – and many, including Ariana Grande, have decided to do just that”
