A group of winter-sports athletes and the world’s biggest snowboard maker want the president of the International Ski Federation to resign after he spoke of “so-called climate change” and said he would rather deal with dictators than argue with environmentalists.
The climate advocacy group Protect Our Winters sent an open letter Friday urging 75-year-old Gian-Franco Kasper to step aside.
In an interview with the Swiss newspaper Tages-Anzeiger, Kasper said “dictators can organize (big) events … without asking the people’s permission” and that “from the business side, I say: I just want to go to dictatorships; I do not want to argue with environmentalists.”
He also referenced “so-called” climate change, and when challenged on that, responded “We have snow, sometimes very much.” He pointed to frigid temperatures at last year’s Pyeongchang Olympics. “To anyone shuddering toward me, I said: ‘Welcome to the global warming’,” Kasper told the newspaper. …

Well... it is “so called” because the nomenclature has morphed 2 or 3 times in the last decade. In fact, there is absolutely no doubt that the climate has been changing since the last ice age.
What is interesting is that geological evidence shows that earth has gone through at least 5 ice ages. And that we know of at least 2 Rocky Mountain ranges. We are witness to the 2nd.
What is different about “this” current change in climate is that it is recognized as the first time the fleecing of taxpayers has taken place.
How many years before it’s illegal to question/criticize Globull Warming/Man Made Climate Change nonsense?
About 12,000 years ago there was a mile of ice where I’m sitting. The whole state was covered down to somewhere around Des Moines.
Ice Ages suck. A warming trend is actually a good thing, compared to the reverse. I don’t beleive anything the leftists say, particularly when it involves solutions primarily based upon giving them money, to “save” the planet.
The true believers of Climate Change need to fill out the correct forms to call this what it is, a religion.
They are no longer approaching this from the standpoint of science. These are Fundamentalist Green Earthers, nothing less.
Actually - we are still in the “ice age” - at the end of one of the cycles. The warming end of the cycle. For now. Based on the previous cycles, we have been in a warmer period for longer than the other ones.
