“The victim, said to be in his 30s, was attacked from behind on West Ridge Trail ...
...In a separate interview, Petersburg told 9News the man apparently did everything wildlife officials recommend when encountering a wild animal of this kind, such as putting his hands in the air, making noise and standing his ground.”
Hmmm. Attacked from behind, put his hands in the air, made noise and stood his ground. Did I miss something?
Maybe that’s just how he runs? Or he really does have eyes in the back of his head? Or Petersburg is and idiot?
This story is good, but not all the details add up. I think he was just running along and the mountain lion jumped him from behind. He managed to pick up a rock and knock it senseless before strangling it to finish the job. What would you do after an animal tried to eat you? Leave it laying there when it might come back to its senses and attack you again. I have seen enough horror movies that I know that you always make sure your attacked is completely dead. ; )
All the other details sound like MSM BS to appeal to their politically correct audience. I am pretty sure he will be packing in the future and keeping a closer eye on his surroundings.
