I’m male and thus have never been pregnant nor do I have kids, but I should think as soon as one finds a baby is coming their brain starts to change, they start thinking about how their life is going to change, making plans, hopes and dreams and then suddenly whammo, none of that is going to happen. I should think it might hurt real bad.

Yes, it is the same grieving process as losing any loved one. Well, at least in my case. I guess if you have decided there is no loved one then you don’t grieve. But the fact, you see others grieving should give you a clue. Just curious, how did you respond Tuscaloosa?
