The threat of suicide (which is very real) is part of the cultish behaviour put upon those with gender dysphoria, and also put upon those that love them.
“If I don’t change my sex, I’ll have to kill myself. And if you don’t accept my sex-change, I’ll kill myself.”
Most transexuals have pre-existing mental health issues that make them easy prey for the trans cult. And then of course are supported by most “professionals” (doctors and therapists).
