Most everyone in our area waves at each other, as we pass on the road.
No one waves here in Chicagoland. Since the old folks next to me died I have only met one other of my neighbors within a block in 30 years. That neighbor was IL Rep Lipinski, he was going door to door telling us if we had one use it, Cook County or not when there were a rash of break in’s going in our neighborhood which were actually hurting the residents physically in addition to the theft. Eventually one person was killed on my block, oops turned out to be the President of the IL Chapter of the Outlaws. You should have seen the motorcycle parade with the coffin, unreal they came from everywhere for the funeral. No more break in’s after that.
PS: My street is already plowed today from the 4-5” snow drop thanks to Lipinski, so he does do some good for me. Not enough that I would vote for him though lol...
My sister lives in Fox River Grove. We grew up downstate in a very small town in Central IL That’s where peopled waved. I now live in Huntington Beach CA. Nobody waves here, or even talks to their neighbors.
Glad your street got plowed, quickly.
