I’d love a pic of the fireplace.

Daffodil fields, what a great idea. I’ll add more around our property too. You say you have them in the forest - guess they’ll be ok in the shade? We have cleared areas with patches of trees here and there. I’d love to add more around the trees. And in front of the house too, but that’s where most of them are now anyway.

Dig up some of what you have that didn’t produce lots of blooms — a sign they need to be divided. Divide and replant (October or November). Ordered from large bulb catalog under both daffodil other names for naturalizing. The selection varies. Some whites, ruffles even pale pinks. Or just Jonquils for naturalizing in yellow Plant a few inches apart in clumps. They fill in.
