This is the flaw in AOC’s radical plan to tax the feces out of the wealthy. They just leave.

Here is a tip for the governor of NY and Cal and maybe other states, In Cal we provide services to people not legally in the country. That costs 21 bill a year. perhaps both states could redirect the funds used for illegals and also provide a tax cut.

Just pass a law making it illegal for wealthy people to leave the state. Problem solved!

The big question for New York will be how fast the power-drunk socialist pols can reverse course once the first couple of big Wall Street firms pull out. The trickle can quickly become a flood. NY is the country's biggest financial center by far, but there are plenty of major banks elsewhere. Detroit and Pittsburgh were far more dominant in their industry sectors back in the day. The New York brand is a mystique, but that's mostly an illusion sustained by inertia. There is no reason anyone needs to be in New York. It may be an exciting and fun city for the very wealthy top execs, but the big financial firms should realize that both their shareholders and most of their employees would be better off if they located elsewhere. The herd of independent minds will play follow the leader and bolt town a lot faster than most people reckon.

“can no longer deduct their full state and local taxes on their federal income taxes, “!Basically this means if you live in a low tax state like Florida, you no longer are forced to subsidize high tax states like N.Y. and N.J.
Bout time.,

which he says will prompt him to revise his 2019-20 budget and reconsider spending on schools, health care and repairs to roads and bridges.Yes indeed, it is always a wise thing to cut vital services first in order to inflict as much pain as possible. These pols are animals.

We did everything right from a tax point of view, Cuomo said.Translation: "We did everything we could do to keep taxes as high as possible. It's not my fault that revenue is falling. It's all Trump's fault that wealthy people are leaving the state."

The Cuomo plan to solve New York's budget problems.
To: Beave Meister
Before Kalifornia Governor Gray Davis was recalled, he actually tried to collect taxes from a company that moved out of Kalifornia to next door Nevada. The business owner took it to court and the presiding judge quickly ruled ‘no way.’ Another reason Trump is so important, all the judges that have and are being installed. The rule of law still has a chance.

What percent of the budget constitutes patronage and payoffs? 50%?

Wasn’t it Cuomo who said he didn’t want people without “New York values” to live in New York?
He as much as listed all the republican platform and said, on more than one occasion, that those people weren’t needed in NY.
That would have been the day I contacted my realtor.
