I grew up in Sacramento. I know what it means. But like I said my parents taught me to respect all races and backgrounds.
Speaking of McClatchy Newspapers laying off... I used to deliver the Sacramento Bee as a teenager and graduated from McClatchy SHS in 1977. Glad to see McClatchy Newspapers are getting what they deserve! I absolutely hated them.
I was stationed at McClellan Air Force Base, Same Bat time, Same Bat channel. Well, that’s not the Seventies vernacular but still a remembrance.
