I think Rape has long had a Death Penalty associated with it.
Maybe not so much these days, but certainly in the near past.
Not sure what happens if one distinguishes among Rape-Rape, Date Rape and Marriage Rape.
I believe rape and 2+ counts of conviction of child molestation should qualify for the death penalty.
The court cases would go into the intricacies of whether a wife was falsely accusing or whether a man was violently raping his wife (see r Kelly). There are shades of grey, and innocent until proven guilty. False accusations should result in severe punishment for the accuser.
