herpes virus = sexual promiscuity
researchers found that people with high genetic risk of schizophrenia and who also presented high levels of Epstein-Barr virus antibibodies had an increased probability to pertain to the schizophrenia group more than eight times higher, to be precise.

Is this a thinly-veiled attempt to explain leftist behavior?

Toxoplasmosis can remain largely asymptomatic, but causes behavioral changes in the host, particularly danger seeking activities and disregard for self-preservation. Other studies (Scandanavian) suggest that it lowers motor skills and may lead to higher motor vehicle accident rates. Liberals behave in ways contrary to their own survival, passionately, so theories suggesting causality between the microbe and crazy libs is not without merit, and needs to be looked into further.

I wouldn't be surprised if fresh epidemiological (whew, needed the spellchecker on that one...) studies found links to suicide, substance abuse etc, that were unknown simply because it wasn't tracked. Sidenote: testing for the infection is a routine blood test.

Or it could be a spurious correlation. If lots of folks in the general population are infected, then dementia patients and schizophrenics are bound to be among them. But it’s wise to rule it out as a cause.
