Back when I lived in north-central Minnesota, it would occasionally get below -44 degrees F. We knew that because everyone who was on Propane would have the pilot die and had to fire up the wood stove. Propane would not vaporize below -44 degrees F.

Ever see those people with propane lite fires under their tanks to get the pressure up? Impressive.
