That area in Buckhead used to be filled with dozens of small bars and restaurants. The city conspired with developers to drive most of them out of business with constant harassment regarding code enforcement. The city even bragged about shutting them down in the newspaper. After the small businesses were shut down, the big developers moved in and put in high end condos and retail stores. CJ’s Landing, Dixie Tavern, Mike & Angelo’s, Lulu’s, Racoon Lodge, The Orchestra Pit, Pat Hurley’s, and many more, all gone with the wind so to speak.

I worked on two of the restaurants that were across from Fado’s. Both out of business within the first year. Not too happy with the corporate stuff going in but will MIT refuse the work.

It supposedly had to do with the increase in crime, and the murders described in this article.
