The cure is permanent.

I wouldn't go that far (yet). They're able to force the cancer into remission, it seems. They don't have data on recurrence, at least not in humans.

For example, they may be able to "cure" lung cancer, but someone who goes back to smoking a pack of cigarettes a day would be back years later for more treatment. Effective, maybe, but it's like a headache: you pop some anti-inflammatory OTCs like Advil, headache goes away. Headache can come back, but you're good until the next one.

That's my take on this. Lost my old man to cancer back in October. I pray to see the end of it in my lifetime.

I lost both my parents to cancer...I know how you feel. I’m okay with designating cancer to the class of “headaches.”
