I remember really enjoying that in the distant past and was thrilled when I
found it recently used for a couple
bucks.
Somehow it struck me
as just too “Weird.”

The pregnancy thing was a bit weird but in the context of a true alien species biology and NOT hinting at the humans involvement in any way it was believable as true sci-fi.It was sad in a way. Acted with nuance ;Lou Gossett(one of my favorites) was brilliant as the Drac. He inhabited the role and the makeup was incredible.
I'd like to find it on DVD. Still think its well done and a true sci-fi gem!
