I keep reading here and other places that Trump caved on the wall. Die hard Conservatives who praised Trump are losing faith because they are saying he broke his promise to build the wall. Conservatives are in a panic, which is exactly what the Democrats and their media lemmings wanted.
I submit to you, like the Democrats, you are not seeing the big picture.
I plead guilty shouting “ caved “ However, thinking and reading other reviews, I’ve come to the conclusion “ He’s all we have “ He’s God’s gift to this country for such as this time. A man of his heart Would normally be done with in DC. He’s not cut throat or by all means necessary kind of guy.He’s fair and honest. That in it self will go a long way [GOD}.

try educating yourself like listening to the scott adams link in comment #4. Trump since announcing his run for president has been all about eductaing people - bringing the people (citizens) into the whole discussion of what is going on and trying to fix problems in ways that will last not just EO etc easily undone by next Pres or congress.
Sure scotts 26 minute video could be cut down to just 2-4 minutes but I knew of some of Trump’s ways of working with people before his tv shows and run for office so it’s easy for me to see he always is about helping people see all the parts to the puzzle then trying to assemble the puzzle and get the job done best - with most people then onboard because they understand more and are better off with outcome - even if they don’t get exactly what they thought they wanted.
Trump has always said he negotiates for the best deal, walks away when needed, comes back to the table, hold out for other options, change up offers, etc etc.
You caved, not Trump.

agreed but in a land that no longer respect those morals it is a losing battle to imagine that legislation will right the ship..the friggin pubs played this game so long all they do is wait the jack boot on their face, and winning takes more than laying on the ground saying he hit me..No one comes, no one cares..so even though I do beluieve in being as moral as one can be for a relationship with God, the country no longer counts as having a justice system, we the people are being oppressed
He caved....... for now. He lost the battle and public opinion. But he also got a chance to catch a breath and fight another day. It remains to be seen how this plays out.

That is who I believe is most responsible for this fiasco. But its not over, and whether or not its genius, luck, or divine intervention... things eventually seem to straighten out and fly right with this President. So I am not going to get my bowels in an uproar over this episode like so many others.
That indeed is the bottom line. The Wall.
It’s presence or absence will be unambiguous to all.
Once in strategic places, the wall should be properly fortified. I’ve seen photos showing how easily sections of the built wall can be sawed right through.
To build something that easily destroyed is a waste of time, money and credibility. Plans must also be made for the detection and destruction of tunnels. Tunnels are already created and in full use along spots on the border.
If a year passes, and we are still at an impasse in Jan/Feb of 2020, with no wall and more kicking the can down the road postponements, there will likely be a few primary challenges. I appreciate Mr. Trumps efforts and stated intentions on this topic, but the results will speak the most loudly. It may require another republican to grab the baton and continue the marathon toward our goal.
Donald Trump can only do so much with ongoing adversaries from both parties plus the media, plus the average public school all working against what he stands for. I am thankful that the president has taken us closer to actual border security than any other president in recent decades.
I hope I’m wrong. But a lot of what I’m hearing sounds exactly like the excuses/explanations we got a year ago after the shutdown. We were told then “wait until next year’s budget.” Trump has had a year since then, most of the time with R majorities. He’s had months since Ds won the house with Rs in majority for over a month. Pelosi has said “no wall. no negotiations.” If there was a plan to do this without congress, there have been plenty of opportunities, reasons, and time. The lawsuits over that would already be in progress. If the plan is to do this with congress I’ll give up hope now.
We are rapidly running out of “next years” for Trump’s first term. And we can be sure that liberals (D and R) have plenty of lawsuits and other obstructions queued up waiting in case the wall gets funding - delay, delay, delay. I’d be willing to bet that “wait until next year” soon becomes “wait until Trump’s second term. He won’t need to worry about reelection then and he can ...”
by what do you determine if you are more powerful than your opponent? or maybe just full of your self? where did your “more power” come from? what is “weak”? low energy jeb? pretend an actual disability? being humble, which sun tzu doesn’t seem to be since he’s thinking he is more powerful than opponent in this quote from him?
At this point he simply changed tactics.
Nothing has been agreed upon by both sides. Negotiations for an agreement are still on going. There is no final deal.
Democrats and their media have seized on this as Trump capitulating and they are using this to their advantage. They hope this will be THE wedge issue that will fracture Trumps' base.
It ain't over 'till it's over and it ain't over just yet.
There is no final deal. There are only ongoing negotiations.
We'll all have to wait and see what happens next and how things play out.
Until there's a final agreement there's no final agreement.

I’m with you on this. Never thought it would come to this, but there it is.
This is my idea of “draining the swamp”. These people need to be arrested and removed immediately. It’s unfortunate that it will look like a totalitarian dicator move of all time - It would put Trump in the history books as the biggest tyrant the world had ever seen.
But such is the truth - this wall must be built. Everyday hundreds of not thousands of new liberal voters get in. Even if they don’t vote, they provide the fingerprint “straw man” necessary for Democrats to simply register them to the party and then get the vote out there. The democrats must be eliminated.
This wall won’t stop people coming in on planes. It won’t stop trafficking (It’ll make it harder, but if it does the prices of child sex slaves will simply go up.. Like Cocaine was stopped by the War on Drugs, you know)
This is all polishing a turd. Nothing short of complete elimination will help this.
In my old town in PA there were a few cars and trucks driving around with enormous window stickers that said “Kill your local drug dealer”
I think those guys were serious too.. In the backwoods of PA they’ll never find the bodies.

If after this breather he still foesnt get the wall or less than requested, does he still get annointed a winner?
