After the term limits rule bumped Willie Brown out of the Assembly Speaker position, Willie pulled a fast one by putting in his freshman buddy Brian Setencich as Assembly Speaker until Setencich was bumped out some months later. After becoming mayor, he appointed Brian as special assistant to the 911 Emergency Communications Department. This is where I was working, and Brian ran errands for me.
